Description
The novella "If the Grain Does Not Die" (1920) by the French writer, playwright, and Nobel Prize laureate André Gide is one of the most striking examples of the autobiographical genre, in which, speaking about the confrontation of the spiritual and the physical and his own internal struggle, he also introduces a whole constellation of famous writers and artists of that period. This book caused a lot of noise at the time due to several sensational confessions made about O. Wilde.
