Description
In his first novel, The Outsider, published in 1942, Albert Camus artistically embodies his views on the philosophy of the absurd and existentialism. The main feature of the novel's protagonist, who embodies these views, is his hatred of hypocrisy and lies, as well as an almost complete lack of ambition, even when it contradicts his own interests.
