The book "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury

The Martian Chronicles is a science fiction episodic novel published in 1950. The author dedicated it to his wife Margaret. The novel tells the story of how people from the gradually collapsing and degrading planet Earth go to Mars and colonize it, and how the conflict between the native Martians and the new Earth colonists develops. The book occupies an intermediate position between the genres of an episodic novel and a serial. It also includes Bradbury's short stories, published in science fiction magazines as early as the late 1940s. The latter were combined with new stories by the author, related to the same theme, for publication as a separate book.
