Astrid Lindgren's book "Long Live Emil of Lönneberg"

This mischievous boy, already among our favorite heroes, who lived on the Katthult farm in the town of Lönneberga in the province of Småland with his father Anton Svensson, mother Alma Svensson and younger sister Ida, starts going to school. According to their maid Lina, they will only give Emil a place in heaven if they suddenly need help creating lightning. In this novel, Emil makes several crazy deals at the auction in Bahorva, catches one thousand two hundred crayfish, ends up in a drug rehabilitation center with his trained pig, accidentally locks his father in Triss's cabin on the day of the Bible exam, and at the end of the novel does such a heroic deed for the sake of his beloved friend that Lina and all the inhabitants of Lönneberg change their minds.
