Description
My Life, My Achievements Henry Ford's interest lies primarily in the practice of both production and large financial turnover. The success of all this created the idea of the possibility of a close community between the owner and the employee. Only hard work and dedication helped to achieve success. His father gave Henry a watch when he was still a child. At the age of 15, Ford disassembled and assembled the watches of friends and neighbors many times, gaining a reputation as a watchmaker. At the age of 20, Ford walked 4 miles every Sunday to his Episcopal church. Ford was deeply affected when his mother died in 1876. His father expected Henry to eventually start working on the family farm, but he despised rural work. He later wrote: "I never loved the farm; I loved my mother, who was there."
