Description
At the center of the novel "After the Funeral" is the Abernethy family, united by the sudden death of Richard Abernethy in his secluded Victorian castle and, of course, the latter's will. The author presents a detailed psychological portrait of each of those present, their problems, goals and shortcomings, from which it becomes clear that almost everyone could have a motive. However, throughout the novel, the question is constantly asked not only "who killed", but also "did there even take place a murder?" This dark story would probably remain unsolved and forgotten, if not for the intervention of Hercule Poirot, who, collecting together seemingly insignificant facts, reconstructs all the episodes of this unusual story.
